Fair trade wool from Tibet

A wool yarn with a story

Paola had already worked together on the Tibetan plateau for a number of years with the nomads and farmers living there and campaigned for the improvement of the health system and  used in education. Andrea trained to  at the same time in the veterinary and got to know their traditional medicine.

Paola and Andrea got to know each other there and decided to support the nomads living there: with the production, sale and marketing of the unique yak wool.

The two founders of Myak write on their homepage:

"We know the nomadic shepherds of the Tibetan plateau very well. We have lived and worked with them for more than twenty years. In the meantime we have also become a bit nomadic. We have learned to appreciate their traditions, to respect what they love and what they believe in, share their way of life and work. What we do together is more than just buy the fibers we get from combing baby yaks and cashmere goats. Together we contribute to the future of one  Population that is one of the oldest in the world. "

The result: wonderfully soft wool in silky colors for clothes that make you feel good
