Vovó

this is what grandma / grandmother is called in Portugal and stands for  a versatile and hard-wearing wool yarn. Made from fine Portuguese wool, mainly from Serra da Estrela sheep, it is a great choice  for sweaters and cardigans intended for everyday use.

Colors 20 through 25 are made entirely from the wool of the small flock of Campaniça sheep that live (and can be viewed) in Quinta do Pisão, Cascais.

Vovó is made from wool from free-range sheep. Mulesing is not practiced in Portugal.

all production steps such as washing, dyeing and spinning are carried out in Portugal.  

The colors 01 and 20 are natural and are not colored. Like all  Vovó does not wash yarns from Retrosaria with strong detergents and is not bleached.
